Capacity Planning for Web Services
Improve your client load and transaction throughput with advanced capacity planning services.
Capacity Planning for Maximum Results
Virtualization can significantly improve your organization. But in some cases, you also have to deal with capacity bottlenecks. In order to overcome bottlenecks that can slow your website or cause serious disruption in serving your customers, you need to monitor resource consumption on every virtual machine. The results of not planning properly for bottlenecks and monitoring your servers can be devastating, including poor performance and worse, system downtime. The Virtacore team will develop a plan that works with your goals, timeframe, and budget to determine transactional and capacity workflows.
Reduce the Potential for Over-Provisioning Hardware
Virtacore Systems’ capacity planning experts can help you analyze your business requirements using your current website hardware platform and determine the optimal virtual configuration needed to run your services. Our team of highly trained capacity planning experts will help you design a plan that adequately supports your business now and your anticipated future growth. And we do it all within your budget.
Transaction Cost Analysis Services
Virtacore consultants use Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA), a methodology developed by Microsoft and considered superior by experts to conventional capacity planning, to simulate client transactions on your server. TCA uses a load generation tool that supports standard network protocols. By varying the client load, transaction throughput is correlated with resource utilization over the linear operating regime.
A usage profile is then defined based on the anticipated behavior of users, such as browsing habits. The usage profile determines the throughput target and other important transaction parameters from which resource utilization and capacity requirements are then calculated.
